In a strategic step that strengthens its position in the humanitarian sector, Senabil Association has announced its official adoption and receipt of the commitment to the Joint Operating Principles (JOPs) for Humanitarian Action in Gaza, endorsed by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the Humanitarian Country Team.
This step reaffirms the Association’s firm commitment to the four core humanitarian principles: Humanity: Continuously striving to alleviate suffering, protect lives, and preserve human dignity.
Neutrality: Refraining from taking sides in political, ideological, or other disputes.
Impartiality: Providing assistance solely on the basis of need, without discrimination.
Independence: Formulating and implementing humanitarian policies free from political or economic influence and pressure.
This commitment is part of the Association’s comprehensive institutional development journey aimed at enhancing its operational readiness and strengthening its internal systems and policies, thereby enabling more effective and sustainable partnerships with international humanitarian organizations and stakeholders.
In this context, the Association’s management emphasized that this achievement would not have been possible without intensive fieldwork and continuous professional efforts.
They stressed that adherence to the JOPs reflects the Association’s vision of delivering a professional, responsible, and transparent humanitarian response that meets the needs and aspirations of the Palestinian community in accordance with the highest international standards.
